Within the series of achievements of the VAFF project partners, we highlight in this poster the achievements of the project partner; Artistic convergence group and the Gaza Center for Culture and Arts Association.
Through the Production Grants and Artistic Residencies Program, Al-Etiqa’ Group and the Gaza Center for Culture and Arts Association provided an opportunity for 16 artists from the Gaza Strip, who produced their multimedia artistic projects and ideas, which also grew through dialogue with artists from various Arab countries. During these periods, seven exhibitions and studios open to the public were organized, to present the products of these opportunities, and the public’s participation in the thinking and production process that the artists went through, and they provided opportunities to build the capacities and knowledge of artists in Gaza in new fields.
They also drew attention to the importance of documenting the contemporary artistic process in the Gaza Strip, through the development and programming of an integrated research path, in which five researchers, with research and academic experiences related to art, participated in a research project that combines writing as an intellectual practice and the creative process. The path ended with the production of research papers that were reviewed and discussed. At the same time, they documented the stories of the various art projects implemented through the granting a documentary book.
All the works produced by the participating artists in various programs were displayed in the final exhibition, which was hosted by the meeting headquarters.
